For the third year in a row, sdg’ers and their families volunteered to help package food at Second Harvest Heartland in Golden Valley. Second Harvest Heartland is the largest hunger relief organization in the Upper Midwest, servicing nearly 1,000 programs, food shelves, soup kitchens and shelters throughout the area.
With just 4 hours of service and more than 40 volunteers, sdg’ers helped weigh and package a combined 5,434 lbs. of crackers and carrots – way to go volunteers! Second Harvest Heartland offers several volunteer opportunities that help fight the battle against hunger in our community and beyond. We are honored to be a part of this effort once again.
Thank you to all of our volunteers and to Second Harvest for bringing food to those in need! Be sure to check out more pictures on the sdg Facebook page.
